Echoes of Signs is a series of monoprints that explores the threshold between abstraction and recognition. Rather than inviting the viewer to search for a literal representation, the works encourage an encounter with an echo—what a line, a plane, or an empty space can evoke when words are absent.

Each work investigates how a simple gesture of brush and paint can evolve into a sign suspended between writing, architecture, landscape, and memory. Bold black brushstrokes, subtle tonal variations, and the tension between structure and spontaneity all contribute to this exploration. These are marks that appear to communicate, yet never fully disclose their meaning. Instead of referring to recognizable objects, the works evoke the primal origins of communication: the first gesture, the first trace, the first sign. Every image remains deliberately open to interpretation, becoming a meeting place where order and chance, control and intuition coexist.

Echoes of Signs is a series of acrylic monoprints in which the line serves as the primary vehicle for movement, rhythm, and meaning. Each print originates from one or several spontaneous gestures that acquire their own distinct character through the printing process. As a result, every work possesses a unique surface, bearing visible traces of pressure, friction, layering, and transparency. The bold black lines at times evoke calligraphy, at others architectural structures or fragments of an unknown script. They are balanced by quiet backgrounds in shades of grey, beige, ochre, and warm earth tones, creating a subtle dialogue between strength and vulnerability.

While each work stands independently, together they establish a visual rhythm. Repetition, variation, and contrast create a dialogue in which no single image holds the complete meaning. Only as a collective does the series unfold into a poetic space where the unspoken becomes the true subject.
